Sunday night I took on the challenge of hiking to the top of Koko Head. This was the 5th time I had done the trek, but this time would be different: I wanted to catch the sunset. After climbing way too many “stairs”, a creepy bridge and a few water breaks I made it to the top just in time to watch the skies turn gold and pink. If you haven’t yet, hike Koko head before the semester is up!
This is the first article in a new series where we give you inspiration and tips on how to check off all of those items that should be on your bucket list. Whether you are a local, from the mainland or another country, we hope to inspire you to explore more sides to the island. Got suggestions for hikes we should check out, activities to try or places to see? Tell us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram! Trying out some of our suggestions?
