Last night, local initiative ART+FLEA channeled cult director and screenwriter Wes Anderson for the latest edition of the popular market. Every fourth Thursday, ART + FLEA invites local designers, DIYers, vintage collectors and others to showcase and sell their products at their venue in Kakaako. Blended with a nice mix of live music, food and drinks, it is the perfect way to start the weekend early. The event attracts hundreds of people every month.
Yesterday’s event was named “Love for Wes,” and the theme combined with a coveted costume contest ensured that many of the guests came dressed in costumes from Anderson’s famous movies, like The Fantastic Mr. Fox, Moonrise Kingdom, The Royal Tenenbaums, and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.
Next ART+FLEA will be held on May 22nd in Waikiki. Visit their website for more information.
