Mid-terms have just passed and it appears as if there is a lull in the storm for most students. However, for the womens volleyball team this is not the case. The team has been busily preparing for two matches this week.

The first is tonight against Notre Dame de Namur. This will be the second meeting of the season for these two teams. When first playing in Belmont, CA, the Sharks controlled the match in the first set, 25-16, yet faltered in the second set, 22-25. After winning the next two sets, 25-15 and 25-23, it is clear that this second meeting has the potential to be a nail biter.

With a quick turn around, the Lady Sharks will be playing the Academy of Art University on Halloween night. When the teams first met in San Francisco, the Lady Sharks ended up on top with scores of 17-25, 25-18, 25-19, and 25-25. It was a match that was back and forth until the final stretch, regardless of which team won the set when the final whistle blew.

These are the last two home games for the Lady Sharks before they take off on a week-long road trip. During this last week at home, the Sharks have been preparing to play at their best for the home crowd before having to face unfriendly atmospheres for the next week. The Sharks are currently on a four match winning streak and look to continue their winning ways during the final leg of their home stand.
