Aer, a name that’s hit a number one spot on iTunes charts, is set to perform in Honolulu at The Republik on Saturday, March 21. The hip-duo consists of Carter Schultz and David Von Mering. They are driving their “fresh Aer movement” of sound through the music industry at full speed with nothing but room for growth in their music and fan base.

Coming all the way from Wayland, Massachusetts, the duo will give their first Hawai’i performance before they begin their 2015 spring tour in California.

When asked what Hawai’i could expect from their arrival on Oahu, the answer was simple and straight to the point, “We’re coming to throw a party.”

Judging from the sound of their music and eclectic combination of genres, it is going to be a party you don’t want to miss!

Aer’s sound pulls heavily from the hip-hop and reggae sound but Mering and Schultz brilliantly integrate their own unique style of rap and rhythm in order to create a distinct sound and wide variety of songs. On one end of the duo’s musical range are party songs such as “Feel I Bring”, which has over three and a half-million views on YouTube. At the same time, the Mering and Schultz are able to produce songs such as “Like the Way.”

The pair has earned their way to a number one album spot with “The Bright Side” in addition to spots on other charts. Despite this, the guys continue to remain humbled and rooted, stating that it is surreal to have their body of work be number one.

As far as new music goes Aer has a few projects in the works and promises nothing but fresh, new and original productions.

Tickets for the show this Saturday can be purchased online at bampproject.com or flavorus.com as well as The Repbublik box office by Ala Moana mall on Kapiolani Boulevard, doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m.
